====== Entering data ====== ---- The remote is the main tool for data entry. {{:en:instruction_rc.png?nolink|}} The group of programmable buttons is meant for controlling other devices. See the First launch guide supplied with the device to learn how to assign control functions to the buttons. Please note that functions of coloured buttons and some other hot keys are covered in apps (see the bottom service panel) and in the side modal menu. Their tasks may differ depending on a current app. You may also use a virtual keyboard: press the {{:kb.png?nolink|}} button on the remote to display it. Use arrors to move along letters. Press {{:ok.png?nolink|OK}} to select a letter. To deactivate the virtual keyboard, press the {{:kb.png?nolink|}} button once more or press {{:exit_old.png?nolink&}} or {{:exit.png?nolink|}}. Feel free to connect a USB keyboard to the device for typing texts. A keyboard is enough to control the device – you do not need a remote. Below are hot keys replacing functional buttons on the remote: * {{:f1.png?nolink&}} - F1 * {{:f2.png?nolink&}} - F2 * {{:f3.png?nolink&}} - F3 * {{:f4.png?nolink&}} - F4 * {{:refresh.png?nolink&}} - F5 * {{:frame.png?nolink&}} - F6 * {{:set.png?nolink|}} - F9 * {{:tv.png?nolink|}} - F10 * {{:menu_old.png?nolink&}} or {{:menu.png?nolink|}} - F11 * {{:app.png?nolink|}} - F12 The Web Browser, Web Services, and Web Bookmarks apps do not fully support keyboard navigation. The Virtual Mouse function is recommended instead. You can hover the cursor over any point on the page using the Virtual Mouse. To activate it or to deactivate, press the button {{:info_old.png?nolink&}} or {{:info.png?nolink|}} or use the modal menu ({{:menu_old.png?nolink&}} o {{:menu.png?nolink|}}/Virtual Mouse).
